Experts explain export
Meerbusch, Germany – The Association of Chambers of Industry and Commerce is organizing the tenth annual IHK Export Forum. Riege Software supports the IHK as a sponsor and will provide information in the forum of exhibitors about the current customs standards of the European Union and which parts of the Multi-Annual Strategic Plan (MASP) have already been implemented.
Expert knowledge and exchange of ideas
The Chamber of Commerce’s online event will take place on June 30, 2021 and will bring together customs authorities, foreign chambers of commerce and experts from industry and logistics to exchange information and expertise, expand networks and encourage discussions between representatives of the foreign trade industry and customs authorities.
Especially in times of a pandemic and with an increasing number of import declarations for border crossings within the European Union, a foreign trade event like the IHK Export Forum is of enormous importance. This year, the IHK is once again uniting speakers from the industry and logistics sectors and creating a digital environment in which stakeholders can exchange information on the latest developments in customs, foreign trade, taxes, and logistics.
Riege Software in the forum of exhibitors
Riege Software is not only a sponsor this year, but also presents Dirk Heidenfelder, Product Manager Customs, a premium exhibitor and expert in customs procedures. Alongside other experts for import and export, the customs expert will speak about current customs standards within the European Union as well as the European Commission’s Multi-Annual Strategic Plan (MASP) and address the question of where the journey of digital customs standards is headed.
“Customs processing within the European Union is currently undergoing more change than in many other parts of the world, including at the perception level, in the context of and as a result of the 2016 Union Customs Code. We are currently in a project phase in which this change is gradually arriving in day-to-day business and becoming visible to those involved. Therefore, we would like to create a bit more transparency with our presentation and talk about the background as well as the parts that have already been implemented and, most importantly, the upcoming changes that are still ahead of us on the way to an EU customs universe”, states Dirk Heidenfelder, Product Manager Scope Customs.
Customs without borders
Scope, the Digital Standard for Freight Forwarding and Customs, is already designed as a transport management software for cross-system cooperation and professional customs processing even beyond the borders of the European Union. The ATLAS customs modules in Scope allow seamless full-service data exchange directly from shipment creation or from any WMS/ERP. With automated customs processing in a single system, Scope enables simple and fast import and export declarations without unnecessary multiple entries, with full status control and access to all relevant item information.
