Meerbusch, Germany – Riege Software International has successfully implemented the integration of the WIN platform (Worldwide Information Network) into Scope – Riege’s flagship product for air and ocean freight forwarding as well as customs applications. WIN is a common platform for the logistics industry, designed specifically to facilitate electronic communication of shipment data and documentation.

The integration with WIN will produce significant improvements in efficiency and cost-savings for forwarders and agents and it provides a perfect platform for e-Commerce and paperless transfer of documents. No matter which software the partner is using, by integrating with WIN, Scope creates a seamless connection and data exchange.

“Riege now has the most comprehensive interface with WIN and we will work hard to deliver the value together”, said John DeBenedette, WIN’s Managing Director.

Fast Forward Freight, one of the world’s leading independent freight forwarders with headquarters in the Netherlands and branch offices in Belgium, Germany and Nigeria, is the pilot customer for Scope’s implementation of the WIN platform.

“We have been long-term partners of Riege and we appreciate their innovative attitude”, said Robert van Breugel, Fast Forward Freight’s Financial Director. “That’s why we are happy to be a pilot customer for Scope with WIN integrated. As it coincides perfectly with our ambitions to fully incorporate e-freight, which aims to speed up throughput times, improve reliability and planning. Ultimately the project should reduce costs within the transport chain. Already today we see very promising results.”

Johannes Riege, CEO and Founder of Riege, is convinced that Scope and WIN will provide forwarders with capabilities that even some multinationals struggle to match. Therefore he is very pleased to work with WIN and Fast Forward Freight: “I am excited by the potential of this partnership and the excellent results already seen in the pilot project with WIN and Fast Forward Freight. It is very important for our products and services to work closely with the industry leaders”, he says.

The new feature is available in Scope 5.0, which was introduced into service by Riege shortly before the anual WCA Family Week conference in Bangkok, where Riege attended for the first time as an exhibitor.
