Tracking
More transparency on the first and last mile with QR code procedure
Now truckers can scan a QR code in the transport order with their smartphone or tablet and confirm loading and unloading with one click. Alternatively, freight forwarding employees can also scan the code during pickup and delivery and trigger the confirmation – with precise date and time information. This data automatically updates the milestone planning and the status of the shipment in the shipment monitor. This simple process enables other parties involved to take further steps immediately.
Air Freight
AWB Split in Departure Control
Departure Control now allows you to change the package information per flight when the “Deviating Flights” option is selected.
Ocean Freight
Portbase Cargo Controller integrated in Scope
A further development of its predecessor Ladinginformatie 2.0 (Cargo Information), Portbase Cargo Controller takes the management of incoming cargo in the port of Rotterdam (NLRTM) to a new level. Cargo information becomes cargo control with the possibility of seamless tracking of arriving vessels as well as extensive insight into cargo details.
Through the integration of the Cargo Controller, registered stakeholders can control containers, trailers and even general cargo directly from Scope. All parties involved are able to track any type of incoming cargo and immediately take the necessary action, such as initiating customs procedures. In addition to increased reliability, Cargo Controller speeds up processes, improves efficiency and – triggered directly from Scope – enables smooth workflows without unnecessary interruptions.
Forwarding
Automatically add missing external IDs in EDI Booking
The EDI Profile Management editor has been enhanced with the “Preferred Address Qualifier” field. New mappings can be created in a list of missing mappings or deleted if required.
Improvement of the warning messages for the Mexican Carta Porte function
The MAWB check for Carta Porte in Shipments Light has been removed. A missing MAWB number is no longer displayed as an error.
The transport order to which the Carta Porte refers is saved before shipment. This ensures that the transport order is stored in the database and always contains the current data for the Carta Porte.
Since a Carta Porte can be used for different invoices – with possibly changed data – the transport order is always validated in the Carta Porte dialog, even if the Carta Porte has already been successfully sent.
Finance
CFDI 4.0 format for Mexico now available
The Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT), the Mexican tax authority, has introduced a new format for electronically stamping invoices and payments. The Comprobante Fiscal Digital por Internet (CFDI 4.0) will become mandatory effective January 1st, 2023. Scope already supports this format, so all users can use CFDI 4.0 immediately.
Customs Germany
Tax registration in the EU
The role “ATLAS Participant” in Scope partner management has a new checkbox where it can be marked that the partner has no tax registration in the EU. In such a case, Scope will reject any import declaration for free movement of goods in which this partner acts as declarant.
Access to traide.ai goods classification and information directly from Scope
Forwarders who offer import services but do not receive tariff numbers from their customers can now reliably determine the correct number in each case. The web-based application of our new partner traide.ai searches the EZT database provided by the German customs administration based on the actual description of goods in the declaration and suggests found results.
While the search on the EU or WCO pages requires system changes and detours via various browser tabs, it only takes three clicks to reach the target directly from Scope. In order for users to get their own impression, we will offer free access from Scope until the end of October 2022.

Link between e-dec Export and e-dec Documents
The link between e-dec export declarations and the Swiss NCTS allows users to search for the transit MRN in the export homeview. Here, all export declarations located on this MRN are displayed. In the transit homeview, where the respective transit logoff is displayed, it is possible to search for the export MRN. In addition, the transit MRN is displayed after registration in the details of the export registration.
